Troy Miller is a character in Bully, and is a member of the Bullies clique. He was voiced by Evan Weinstein.

Character Description[]

Troy is a medium sized bully with short auburn hair, blue eyes with bags under them, and faint dimples and blemishes on his forehead. Troy wears a long sleeved white school shirt with the sleeves rolled up below the elbows, blue jeans, and blue and white sneakers. In the wintertime he wears a long sleeve white shirt unbuttoned over a navy blue hooded sweatshirt and fingerless black gloves with black boots. He speaks with a slow, hoarse voice. In the PS2 version of the game, he wore white and black shoes instead of white and blue ones.

Characteristics[]

Troy's personality is a bit hard to describe because on the surface he doesn't really seem to have one. He has a very hoarse and loud voice, speaks slowly, and can come across as rather stupid. He sometimes pronounces multi-syllabic words with equal emphasis on each syllable as though he's not sure how to properly pronounce them. Troy's favorite insult to use is 'wimp', and he often accuses other students of not being manly, or of thinking he (Troy) isn't manly. He also often mentions that he's not confused, and seems to take offense at the idea that someone could think he is. He admires muscles, especially Russell's, and wishes he could build his own to look like Russell's. His hair is the same color as Russell's, he often grunts or roars much like Russell does, and seems to be trying to imitate Russell.

He drops a number of hints that he is into boys. Only a few of them blatantly reference boys, but it's heavily implied that when he mentions being confused he's talking about attraction towards boys. He sometimes calls people 'pretty boy', and when fighting the Preppies he'll ask them to get close so he can smell them, implying he enjoys the smell of cologne. When it comes to his feelings on girls, all his "team defeat" quotes are about how they won't be able to attract girls. His idea of flirting is to ask girls if they want to feel his biceps. Although he can be seen making out with girls due to game mechanics, it's implied that he's just going through the motions of trying to be interested in girls.

One of Troy's 'beaten in a fight' dialogue lines goes "Tell my dad I'm... nah, never mind." Put all of Troy's personality traits together and look at them through this line, and it seems like Troy is homosexual or bisexual by nature. His father thinks he's 'confused' and has been trying to turn Troy into an old-fashioned stereotypical 'real man' - the kind who's macho, muscular, wins at sports, and pushes everyone weaker than himself around. It's heavily influenced Troy's personality but hasn't changed his sexuality, leaving Troy with a complex about his confusion, and that Troy's attraction to Russell has caused him to try and be as much like Russell as possible.

Role in game[]

Troy is first seen in Welcome to Bullworth, where he chases Pedro across campus. In Defend Bucky, Troy is beaten up twice by Jimmy.

In Halloween, he appears with Russell, where they both laugh at Pete being stuck in a garbage can.

He is ever present during the Character Sheets mission. He is one of the Bullies who steals Melvin's character sheets from him. He teases Bucky Pasteur with it, at the side of the boys dorm before Jimmy comes, saying "There's no such thing as magic, dweeb". He is also with Trent at the side of the library when Jimmy finds them, and Trent gets Jimmy to play Troy at roshambo. If Jimmy gets up, they both run away abandoning the character sheets, if he doesn't, they walk away and he has to beat them up to get the character sheets back. He also backs up Davis at the auto shop for the other character sheet.

After Chapter 1, Troy plays no further role in the story.
